Lions, and Tigers, and Bears, Oh my!!

This morning we went on a trip to the Milwaukee Zoo. It was Jack's first trip there, although he slept through most of it. Andy definitely enjoyed himself, but it was really busy with kids on field trips - kind of overwhelming and especially difficult to navigate a double stroller through.

Here's Andy and I in front of one of the bird exhibits.

And here's the polar bear lounging outside. He wasn't in the mood for swimming today.

But this Grizzly Bear was taking a dip in his pool!

Andy waited very patiently to see the kangaroo "hop" and he finally did. This guy was posing for his photo.

The elephants were pretty active today - playing with their logs and tires, and then munching away on their hay.

Jack woke up for awhile and was pretty content watching all of the kids and animals.
But one of the biggest highlights of the trip was getting to "ride" on the dairy trucks in the barn at the children's museum. Andy would have been happy to sit there for hours - and he was pretty bold in not letting bigger kids shove him out of the driver's seat. I was proud of him for holding his ground!

And, then of course, the best part of the zoo was the ride on the train. Andy patiently waited in line for about 15 minutes and then we finally got to ride it!

Jack slept through the exciting train ride, but that's okay!

And, after a 20 minute ride home, both guys were sacked out and ready for a nice long nap!

This afternoon Jack got to meet more relatives for the first time! My Uncle Tom and Aunt Toni came over, along with my cousins Kailey and Kendall. Andy had lots of fun playing with them, and we got some pictures of Jack with them!
Here's Kendall holding Jack

And here's Kailey holding Jack:

And my Uncle Tom and Aunt Toni. Toni had the magic touch to put him right to sleep!

And here are the kids on the couch - ages 6, 4, 2, 0!

And here's a pic from the weekend that I forgot to post. Andy has a blast with his little automatic bubble blower. Here he is getting his Grandpa with bubbles!

Chris got home safe and sound tonight (yay!) And he is currently on Jack duty (double yay!) We're headed back to Neenah tomorrow morning - thanks again to mom and dad for all of your help! I've heard that's what they say is the good thing about grandchildren - at some point they go home and then the grandparents get to catch up on sleep and relax! It was a great week and we had lots of fun!
