Jack's First Few Days

Jack is doing really well. He's at the hospital still, but his bilirubin levels are stable and should start going down soon. All of the nurses think he is adorable! He's got quite an appetite now and also loves his pacifier. We can't wait for him to come home, but first his levels have to drop and then stay down once they start removing the blue lights. I think he's going to be over 9 pounds when we bring him home. We'll see how long he fits into his 0-3 month clothes!

Here's a picture of his full head of hair and double chin!

Here are some pictures of him from today at the NICU. You can see the blue light treatment underneath him - they also have lights set-up above him too. Imagine a little baby sized tanning bed!

Chris and I will be heading over tonight again to feed him and visit with Jack. Unfortunately, Andy isn't able to see him until he gets to come home. Because there are so many very small babies in the NICU, young siblings carry too many germs for them to be allowed to visit. Andy gets to enjoy a few more days as the only child at home!
