First Trip to the Park with 3 kids

This morning we went to a park - Emily's first outing with the boys. She happily slept through the entire trip, and an extra hour at home in the carseat afterwards! So, not too exciting, but that's a good thing. Luckily Grandma Reinsel was with us, so the boys had someone to help them on the equipment since I'm still quite restricted in what activities I'm supposed to do.

Here's Emily taking a nap during breakfast. This is where she usually chills out when we're eating.

Emily, still sleeping :)

The boys again, just playing around
As a side note, Emily has already been trouble during her diaper changes. I think she has peed mid-diaper change already more than both of the boys ever did. And she already leaked all over me while I was holding her - I think that means she needs chubbier thighs :)
Emily had her second bath today and really seemed to enjoy it. She didn't cry at all and liked having the water poured all over her. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera handy upstairs with us.

Emily is 1 week old today!

Wow, how much things can change in a week! Emily is now 1 week old. She still sleeps a lot, but she is looking around more and taking everything in. The boys continue to get a kick out of her. She has been sleeping pretty well - waking up 2 times a night. I love snuggling up with her and holding her while she sleeps :) Something I definitely take advantage of while I have people here to help me. Chris's mom is here helping out for a few days and the kids are loving having their Grandma Reinsel to play with! Here are lots of pictures again!

Jack running around and dancing. His current songs are "I'm so great, I'm so great" and "Jack's singing a song, Jack's singing a song" His little phrase he says to himself is "Dokey, Dokey, Jello Jigglers, Check this out" or "Dokey, Dokey, Pablo" "Dokey, Dokey, Mickey Mouse" Basically, his version of "Okey, Dokey, fill in the blank with whatever is on his mind"

Jack was on the good turtle team and Andy was on the bad shark team today. They played a lot together - make believe games, cars, etc.

The boys are playing on the train here. For some reason our staircase is the train...

Andy is getting more comfortable around Emily. He didn't want to hold her on his own yet, but he was happy to let her rest her head on him...

Firsts for Emily: Visitors, Bath, and Weekend at Home

We have had a wonderful weekend so far with Emily. She is such a sweetheart. There are lots of pictures on this blog... it's so hard to narrow them down, so I'll just post tons. Overall Emily is doing wonderfully. She went to the doctor on Saturday morning to get her bilirubin levels checked one more time. She looked great and will go in next when she is 2 weeks old for her first well-child check. Andy had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa's house, but was happy to come back on Saturday to see Emily. Emily has had quite a few visitors over the past few days. She's still pretty sleepy, but is having more and more alert times.

Wide awake and looking around

More pictures to be coming soon I'm sure. We're looking forward to Grandma Reinsel visiting and to Labor Day weekend. A couple more weeks until school starts for the boys!
