We had a great Halloween weekend this year. On Saturday we carved the 3 pumpkins we had gotten at the pumpkin patch earlier in October. Andy personally designed his pumpkin. He drew the spooky, scary face and I carved it exactly as he drew it. Jack enjoyed coloring his pumpkin with marker. Andy was nice enough to help Jack draw a happy, smiley face just as Jack requested - I carved that one exactly as drawn too. Eyelashes and all! The boys thought Emily's pumpkin needed a happy baby girl face, so we made that one have a big toothy smile. The boys loved looking at the pumpkins at night all lit up.
Emily wore her little pumpkin hat and outfit, but slept through all of trick or treating on Sunday in her swing. Perfect! Andy dressed up as a Super Karate Guy and Jack was Superman. Andy and Jack went on a big loop through the neighborhood. They would go up to the door on their own mostly, say "trick or treat" and "thank you" and then talk about the candy they received. Andy enjoyed riding in the wagon between houses while Jack walked all the way up until the last little bit. (no surprise there!) Jack wanted to try every piece of candy after getting it, but we managed to get home with the boys only eating a few pieces each. Andy really liked helping handing out the candy once we got home. So now the boys have candy that I'm sure will last until Christmas and they are already asking when we get to go trick or treating again. They were sad when I put the Halloween decorations away. But I told them that Christmas is right around the corner :)
A few other pics in the slide show are of the boys doing some art with window markers and of Andy painting a picture. Also, Andy's last tumbling class and of the boys enjoying the park today. And more of Emily of course. She's getting so full of expressions!
