Emily's First Trip Away from Home

We went to Delafield a few days ago for a long weekend. It was Emily's first trip away from home, and she did awesome on the car rides (slept the whole time). Emily got the chance to meet LOTS of relatives - at one point there were 6 grandparents in the house with her :) So needless to say, she got a lot of snuggling and sleeping in people's arms! On Thursday, Great Grandma Dickson, Great Grandpa Dickson, and Great Uncle Jim stopped by to see the kids. Then, Thursday evening, Great Grandma and Grandpa Graham arrived from Kansas City. It was their first time seeing Emily, and it had been awhile since seeing the boys too. The kids had SO much fun with all of their grandparents. Reading books and playing matchbox cars were Jack's two main activities for the weekend. Andy loved playing outside and having battles with pirates & knights. On Friday evening, Uncle Ryan, Aunt Marianne, and cousin Ben arrived from Minneapolis and also got to meet Emily for the first time! And also that evening, Chris came after work, and Uncle Brad & Aunt Karissa came too. It was such a houseful, but lots of fun.
Andy, Jack, and Ben had dance parties which was really cute to watch. The kids loved their presents from Great Uncle David, Great Aunt Jeri, Alec & Kylie. Jack also got a cool chair, made by his Great Grandpa Graham. Andy enjoyed helping make crepes on Sunday morning - he decorated them with the whipped cream and powdered sugar. We all went for a hike at Lapham Peak on Sunday - one of my favorite places, and Emily's first time through the forest. Andy was a little tired at first, but soon he was running with Grandpa and ambushing us! Jack was a consistent hiker - slow and steady wins the race! Lots of pictures so, here's the slideshow... We loved seeing everyone!!! We're back home now and Andy had a great day at school today. Trying to catch up on laundry, get the kids back on a regular sleep schedule!
