Colorado Hiking Trip

A little over a week ago, Chris, my dad, Brad, and Karissa went on a hiking trip in Colorado. I didn't go on it, but am now wishing I would have considered it since it looked like so much fun. I won't get into the details but they hiked/climbed some big mountains and backpacked one night in the mountains. Pretty tough with the altitude, but beautiful scenery. Chris was the most daring and hard-core climber in the group, so he went on to summit another couple of more mountains (Kit Carson and Challenger) on his own the morning after they camped. All of his hard work training paid off! Great job, Chris!!
The mountain behind him (looks taller, but is actually about the same height as the one he's sitting on) is next on his list to climb... Maybe next summer :)
Chris was originally going to stay a few more days and hike/climb some more on his own after the rest had left. He decided, though, that he had climbed enough and came home early. I was so, so happy to see him - especially since he's headed to China in a week now. And as you can see below, Jack was happy to have him back again too. Andy got a kick out of his semi-beard that he had grown on the trip - and said "you've got to go shave, daddy!"
