Andy had a great first day of preschool today. We got there about 15 minutes early because he was so eager to go. He's going to Lake Edge Preschool in Neenah on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This month they are having a farmyard theme, so everything they did was focused on that. He painted some muddy pigs, read books, sang songs & danced, and had some free play time. His teachers said he was a very good boy, which made me happy but didn't surprise me at all of course :) During the two and a half hours of preschool, Jack and I also stayed really busy. We drove to the YMCA first, then went for a run around Riverside Park in the jogger stroller. Then we had swim lessons at 10:00 for Jack. His first one this fall - he did awesome. He was the loudest one in the class - but his screams were because he was excited to play in the water. After swimming we went to the park to play for awhile, and then we picked up Andy. Jack fell asleep on the way home.
Andy also started swim lessons this week. He was NOT excited to get in the water, and it took him about 25 minutes to want to get in. Unfortunately the class is only 30 minutes long. We stayed for about 45 minutes afterwards and played in the water once he got in. Luckily there was no class after us. He really enjoyed it once he got in, so I'm hoping next week goes a little smoother.
Other pictures on this post are once from the last couple of weeks. We took the boys for a hike and then to the park last weekend... the guys had fun on the spinny thing and the slide. Jack and Andy have been having fun playing outside on our driveway. Andy loves it when the older boys that live next door to us come over to play with him. And Jack has been having fun pushing his toys around the yard.
All in all, a great start to September! I'm ready for slightly cooler weather, fall is my favorite season :) But we are taking advantage of as much outside time as possible!
