Emily at 7 weeks and Hiking with the kids

Today Emily turned 7 weeks old :) She is getting so much bigger and more solid! She likes to sit up (being supported in my lap of course) and look around. She's sleeping SO well, from 10pm to 5am last night. Then she ate and went back to sleep until 7:30. I'm really hoping she keeps that up. She cracks little smiles now and likes to make "oooh and aaahh" sounds.

I felt like we had to get outside again today since it was another sunny, 70 degree day in October. We went to Bubolz Nature Preserve and the kids did awesome. Emily slept in the baby carrier, and the boys hiked super well. Andy was very into reading the map and figuring out where we were at each marker along the trail. Jack mainly wanted to look for ducks by the water and then run up the ramp at the tower. We played outside a little more at home this afternoon. The boys played downstairs while Emily napped and I ran. All in all, it was a very fun, satisfying day.

At the nature preserve - looking for ducks on the dock
Figuring out what trail they want to hike today
Jack would not zip up his coat - didn't want to cover up his favorite shirt :)
Andy taking a break and re-checking our map
Emily on the hike, nice and cozy
Running along the trail, a new one for us.

Beautiful fall colors!!!

Andy at his look-out
Jack, Emily, and I relaxing at the end of our hike
We'll see how many more beautiful days we have this October :) Hopefully I can get outside for a run one of these days.
