Swim Class and More

Now back and settled from our vacation, we're starting to get ready for spring activities. The boys are starting swim lessons! Their lessons are actually at the same time so it's all 4 of us in the pool - with Chris and I each taking one of the boys. Tonight, Jack did so great, especially for his first time in the pool. I was pretty nervous, because he skipped his afternoon nap today and class didn't start until 6:30. But he was happy to be in the water the entire time - did not make a fuss once and really liked to splash and go after the toys in the water. Andy had a little bit more difficult time. It had been awhile since he had been in a pool and he was pretty nervous to get in all the way. We had about 10 minutes in the beginning of the class that he was pretty upset for (loud enough that most of the parents there were probably like "why can't they calm that poor kid down?") BUT, we did end up in the water and happy to be there for the last 20 minutes, and I think next week will go even smoother. Part of it was my fault - we got there reallly early and we sat on the edge of the big pool and played for awhile. Andy was having so much fun doing that, that he didn't want to actually go to the class we came there for! We also have to improve our method of getting everyone dried off and ready to go home - but we'll get more efficient at that I'm sure! We didn't get many action photos, since we were both in the water with the boys, but we got some before and afters.

In other pics that I'm posting below, you will see that Jack is cruising all over the place - getting into Bailey's stuff, bothering Andy while he's sitting in his chair, and playing with all of Andy's toys. Jack LOVEs anything like golf clubs and fishing poles to play with. Jack has also successfully climbed the stairs all the way up - with us behind him of course. He's our little danger boy! Andy has been getting a little upset at Jack always trying to steal his sippy cups. Jack loves to chew on them and try to drink from them. I don't blame Andy - I wouldn't want Jack slobbering all over my drinks either :) We also got to see Uncle Ryan and Uncle Brad at Grandma and Grandpa Graham's house last weekend. It was a quick trip, but Andy had lots of fun - he loved the jumping games on the Wii and making music with some instruments. Then, earlier this week Grandma Reinsel came to visit and the boys had a great time staying home having special time with her. We can't believe it's already almost March. We're looking forward to a trip to Ryan and Marianne's, more swim lessons, tumbling lessons for Andy, and Jack working on his cruising skills so he can start walking!
