With the previous 2 posts about Jack and Bailey, I figured it was time to talk about Andy! He is 2 years 5 months today! Andy has an unbelievable imagination (For example, he likes to sit on the chest in front of our bed and pretend it is a helicopter - he's usually rescuing an animal or chasing robots!) He's extremely empathetic and worries about animals that need to find their mommy or daddy. Andy's starting to count more and also is learning more letters of the alphabet. He's great at jumping and is starting to want to play "ball catch" more and more. A few days ago, he was out playing with some of the older kids outside and they were rolling him a ball that he got to kick back to them. Then they would toss him the basketball to pass back. They were complimenting him and giving him high fives - he got so excited and was having SO much fun!!! He was also playing frisbee outside with me this weekend. He can actually throw it pretty well!
We have to remind ourselves that he's only 2 - he's such a good talker that we sometimes forget, but he isn't always the most reasonable. He's pretty stubborn and likes to see how far he can push you. But then, after a few minutes, Andy asks for hugs and says he loves you "so much," and he's once again the well behaved kid that we know so well!
Here he is being silly and playing with some pillows and blankets. He was sliding off of the bed, onto the big cushy pile. I think in this picture he was telling me not to take his picture...

But then he got involved with his little game and started goofing around and forgot I was taking pictures!

Silly boy!

All wrapped up, trying to escape...

Here he is riding a little bulldozer at Grandma and Grandpa Graham's house. I've always said that I don't want him to have motorized toys (so that he can get good exercise, for one reason) but my plan seems to have caused US to get more exercise this way - and backaches from pushing him!!

Faster, faster!!

Last week, I think this was the first long-sleeve shirt he has worn to school in about 3 months - cooler mornings now, but we don't mind :)

Spaghetti is a new favorite of Andy's.

It gets a little bit messy though...

Doing a few laps in the firetruck - as Andy frequently says "It's my job."
