Soccer and more!

Andy picked soccer as his sport for the fall and he's already had 3 practices. He's really liking it! Here he is practicing dribbling the ball and then shooting it....

Emily is clapping for him!

Spending some time on the swing, waiting for practice to be over... looking a little sad but cute

Andy had his first game on Saturday. Well, it actually turned into 2 games because he and Ethan actually started out on an older team (we recognized kids from practice, but it was a U8 game) but then he got to play on the correct team (U6) afterwards... where he got his feet on the ball a lot more often! He had a lot of fun, but was pretty exhausted! Maybe next weekend he will score his first goal :)

Andy is the kid with the white shirt, black shorts, and white shin guards...

Cheering for his team after a goal

Kicking the ball in for his team

After the games, we went to the local fire station for a special safety day. The boys had SO much fun - they sprayed fire extinguishers, watched firemen in action, met K9 rescue dogs, saw big trucks, and sprayed a real firehose. Emily was not a big fan of the firestation - she got pretty upset whenever she would see the station mascots (2 guys dressed up in big dog costumes) walking around.

And last night, after Emily and Jack were in bed, Andy and I worked on his first school assignment. We made a collage of pictures from the summer that he could show his classmates to teach them more about himself and what he likes to do. Andy did a lot of it on his own - picking out his favorite pictures, picking where he was going to put them on the paper, trimming the pictures, and taping them down.
