Emily turned 1 on August 23rd and we celebrated her birthday in Delafield the following weekend. Thanks to all of our family that were able to come to the party. We all had such a good time! Emily also had her 1 year well child check at the end of August. She checked out great! She was very brave for her shots and is growing well. (20lb 14oz - 45%, 29 inches - 45%) When she turned one, she was starting to take 4-5 steps at a time and standing on her own for short times. Now, she's walking across the room all the time! She's still crawling when she needs to get from one place to another quickly, but in another week or two she's going to be walking full time :) She's saying mama and baba(Bailey and bottle). She pretends to go "night night" on a pillow, she waves good bye to people, and she is just sooo cute. Everyone says she's always smiling - and she usually is, but she does get crabby when she's not getting a toy she wants from the boysor when she's hungry. Here are some pics from her birthday weekend!

Jack was very happy to help Emily open presents

Grandma Reinsel and Jack - Jack was getting a little tired. Nothing some sugary birthday cake can't fix!

Speaking of cake! We had a homemade butterfly cake and a dairy queen ice cream case. yum...

Emily dug right in.... the frosting was deliciously messy

trying some of the ice cream cake too

And then sooooo sad when her hands got really cold :( She cheered up quickly once we gave her a little more of the homemade cake after washing off the ice cream!

It was a great day! Emily's first year went by so quickly! I wish I could slow down how fast she is growing up. But I'm also so excited to hear her start talking and running and playing with Andy & Jack :)
